In today's fit for life... Shedding light on why people overeat. Researchers used MRI’s to identify an area of the brain they say is linked to the desire to overeat. During the study, they made volunteers feel full, and they found there was less activity in that particular part of the brain in people who were overweight...

And, even minor leg injuries, like sprains or pulled muscles could increase your risk for potentially deadly blood clots. A new study found minor leg injuries are linked to a three- fold increase in risk. Doctors say while most people who suffer minor leg injuries have little to worry about. Everyone should be aware of the blood clot risk.

New details about a popular cholesterol-lowering drug...

A new study suggests Zetia does not help in lowering a patient's risk for heart attacks or strokes any more than a generic version of the drug. In fact, the rate at which artery-clogging plaque formed in blood vessels almost doubled in people who took Zetia. About a million Americans are prescribed Zetia...

And... Women who follow the Mediterranean diet while pregnant... May be improving their babies' health. A new study finds those babies are less likely to develop childhood asthma and common allergies. The Mediterranean diet includes eating fruits and vegetables, olive oil, fish, beans and nuts.
