Illegal MRI Trailer's Days Are Numbered!

There may finally be an end to that illegally parked MRI trailer!
Recently Howard met up again with Bronx City Councilman James Vacca, who said he had finally spoken to the property's landlord.
As he explained, "I am pleased to report that I have a verbal and written commitment from the landlord's representitive, that by August 14th, the MRI will be gone."
That's right, according to Councilman Vacca, the illegally parked trailer will be removed this weekend, either August 14th or 15th.
For those of you who have been following this mystery, the Councilman's words will no doubt be music to your ears.
This all began back in June, up on Eastchester and Mace avenues in the Bronx.
An 18-wheeler, housing an MRI machine, appeared one night in the parking lot of a Mace Avenue building complex. Neighbors were outraged, because the noise of the air conditioner, to cool the MRI machine, ran constantly, 24/7, no one knew if there were any health issues involved and according to the NYC Department of Buildings...the trailer was illegally parked!
The operation running the MRI set-up is called "Eastern Precision Medical". Who they "really" are is another story, because no one there wants to talk. Employees working there were very uncooperative and would not answer any questions.
The property's landlord is a company called "Fitore Realty", which is owned by a person by the name of Paul Gjokaj.
Even though the trailer was parked illegally for months and the landlord received violations from both the NYC Department of Buildings and the NYC Environmental Control Board, that MRI operation was still allowed to operate, uninterrupted 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, driving the local residents crazy with the noise.
Howard has tried several times to track down the offices of Fitore Realty and its owner, but they have covered their tracks. Addresses for their offices have turned up in the Bronx and Westchester, but they were all either empty or recently vacated.
The most recent address located was up in Scarsdale, but when Howard visited the office, workers there weren't even able to tell him if anyone affiliated with Fitore Realty worked there. Howard is still hoping that some day the owners of Fitore Realty will be willing to show their faces on camera and explain themselves.
So tune in this Monday. Howard will either be talking to happy Bronx residents, because the MRI trailer is gone or unhappy residents because the trailer is still there. Stay tuned and we will let you know.
