on May 5th 2010 i was at work(DOTS a clothing store) and i was racially attacked by an older white woman. she was very upset that i did not give her her reciept back. she proceeded to be disrespectful and began saying that she wanted to speak with "dominique" the assistant manager. i called her"dominique" up to the front where she decided that she needed to hear both of our stories before she makes a decision..now the lady interrupts her by telling her that i have an attitude and that i dont need to be working there and that she need the cooporate number so that she can report me..now meanwhile dominique is writing down the number(like she has done so many times to everyone who works there) now the lady is starting to say that i dont need a job..and that i need to be at home collecting a check, "that people like me are nothing". now upon her attempting to finally decide to leave she says and I QUOTE"YOU ARE A STUPID BLACK BITCH! YOU ARE A DUMB NIGGER AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU NEED TO JUST BE AT HOME COLLECTING A CHECK". U MAKE ME SICK STUPID NIGGER,,NOTHING BUT A BLACK BITCH..i sad have a nice day ma'am..then i called her fat ass...she really let me have it. now did i say that dominique is black?

now the lady leaves...i was pissed off..any body else would have whipped that ..(yall know) but me nope..so i was really upset..about to go to the back room cause i was about to let dominique have it for even letting her stand there and talk about me like that..she is suppose to be an assistant manager. NOW..two fat white girls come in and im on my way to the back of the store, and they say..again i quote"hey gurl,,whats up dom?? wheres this irene"..ok it was almost a real bad scene..

now my manager is upset and the HR lady said it doesnt matter that i was racially insulted and then almost attacked on "my job". i have put in several complaints to the corporate office..please help me.the store address where i worked is 2040 forest ave staten island ny10303. the phone number for the corporate office is 8002088173 and the new district manager for that store is joy grecco. also know that i filed for unemployment and they even have a bogus reason stated on the paper as to why they are denying me..ha. i expressed my feelings to the lady at the hr department and she told me that i shouldnt have said anything and that basically that being racially attacked as well as insulted and embarrassed, all i had to do was go to the back room and things would have been fine..wow!! so having two people come in to physically and verbally attack me is not just enough for me to want to leave a place where i felt unprotected. i really liked being employed at DOTS but not to the point where i am fearing for my life everytime i go to work. i enjoyed working with the customers, even those that werent so pleasant all of the time but racial disrespect is not something that i think that i have to tolerate..i am very upset that dominique didnt handle the situation the way she should of and that she has been allowed to keep her job after the numerous amounts of discrepancies that she has either caused or allowed.

what do i do now i have been looking for employment for the past month..i am on a fixed budget and i have two boys. like i stated before i have tried to apply for unemployment but i was denied..how am i supposed to make ends meet??
