Jamaica Smith's Ex Arrested For Her Murder
Did He Do It?
There's been a break in the disappearance and murder of Queens mom Jamaica Smith.
Help Me Howard got a phone call this morning telling him that Nassau County Police had made an arrest.
Cops had taken into custody 34-year old Marvon Jemmott, the ex-boyfriend of Jamaica and father of her six-year old daughter.
It was a sad and tragic end to what everyone had hoped would not happen.
After Jamaica's family made the positive ID, cops began interviewing those close to the family and found that many of Jemmott's statements just did not add up. When they brought him in, their suspicions were confirmed and he confessed.
Police believe Jamaica's death may have stemmed from a fight over child support.
Howard spoke exclusively with Jemmott last week when Jamaica was still "just missing", and he had his own reservations about how Jemmott was acting and what he was saying. But who would have expected tonight's outcome?
So tonight a Queens family is in shock and trying to come to terms with never seeing their sister again and a little girl has lost her mother.

Somethings not right about the story crazy azz dude told on the first help me Howard interview that was talking in circles and knew about Jamaica being gagged and bound? How did he know this? Did he know this nut job had her.Why didn't he say anything ? He's not psychic! Just like the X-Files, the truth is out there! The Devil is just waiting for the rest the you!
It always seems like a boyfriend, or a husband is a wife, girlfriend, or child killer. I guess a person who is close to someone has a reason, or thinks, he or she has a reason, or passion to kill. It is a shame that these things have to happen in this fashion.
When it comes to emotions, I guess that anything might happen. It is very sad, especially for the family of the victim.
It also seems so strange that a person who loved someone, could do such a horrible thing.
On the night that this story aired, I saw the ex-boyfriend and immediately said that he was the person responsible for Jamaica's disappearance. During the story, they said he was married. I was on the phone at the time talking to a friend. I told her that if I was his wife, he would be in trouble when he got home because he was crying a little too much for me. I am an avid watcher of all reality crime shows. When a woman is harmed or killed, the number one suspect is always the ex, the lover, or the husband. This is a very unfortunate end to this story. My condolences go out to the family. I hope that the family seeks counseling immediately for the child to help her come to terms with senseless death of her mother, and possible loss of her father to the prison system for killing her mother.
This isn't a reality TV show people. He was charged with a crime and he is INNOCENT until proven GUILTY. Charge doesn't mean conviction people. I want to see how this prosection is going prove guilty because nothing linked him to the crime. He did NOT CONFESSED. The detectives are doing what they do best LIE. Group of LIARS. Anyone can be changed with a crime. You could be at home sleeping, they just need someone to say they saw you committed the crime. You are then brought down to the precint for questioning. Once you start speaking without an Attorney, you are changed. Please don't be so eager to rush to judgement. I am tired of seeing people wrongfully accused and walking out of Prison after 15 years because the state relized they had the wrong man. I only hopes he gets a FAIR TRIAL.
Anonymous are you kidding me..this animal confessed to the cops..he should get the death penalty for what he did to Jamaica..I personally know one of her family members and do you know what they have been going through..this animal searched and hung flyers up with the family all the while knowing he killed her..this 6 year old girl has to grow up knowing her OWN father killed her mother because of child support..My heart and prayers go out to the family and may he rot in prison for the rest of his life
whatever r uuuu kidding me....... First he's not an animal he is a human being (i only hope that you are as well). Secondly, were you a witness to the confession? Are you handing out death peanalties now? You personally know a family member, CONGRATULATIONS GENIOUS! they are expected to experience what any other persons would in the lost of a loved one. He hung flyers to help 'damn if you do and damn if you don't' GENIOUS knowing the family doesn't constitute that any black man would do, they neeed to do a thorough investigation and investigate all possible suspects. The young not grow up thinking that her father killed her mother if he did not. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE TO READ AND EDUCATE YOUSELF, FEEL FREE TO WATCH LAW AND ORDER, FIRST 48, and or CSI to equipt yourself with information on the media twisting stories and cops making false allegations. you just happen to be a friend of the family but i wonder what the accused is really saying, i can bet he has not confessed, if he had it would be an open shut case. FYI, THE COPS ALSO STATED HE HAS MADE CONFESSIONAL STATEMENTS. WHAT IS IT REALLY? did he confess or is he making confessional statements? u can't have both. LET THAT SINK IN , DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND THINKKKKKKKK while you're at it put yourself in the accused shoes. What if it were you?
Okay first oh I send my condolences to the family of Ms. Jamiaca Smith. I will not get into how I know the family because that is not important right now what i will say is that yes everyone deserves a fair trial but with plenty of cases not all of the details are released that link him to the murder. Other crimes were commited in the case if you watch the news and that why it isnt shut as of yet because there is still more to the case then where is she and who was responsible for her death. Also if you want to call yourself putting someone in their place and telling them to EDUCATE themselves why dont you LEARN how to SPELL "GENIUS"!!!!!!

This is rather interesting to say the least, Initially I also thought that it was an open shut case but soon realized that the story reported by the media was false.
For one, He did not confess to the murder, If that were the case, Why then would he plead NOT GUILTY at the preliminary hearing?.
I like most people want to see justice done BUT, I also want to see the right person brought to justice.
We can all speculate as to who were involved directly or indirectly, However the fact still remains that we have seen many times where the police that are sworn to uphold the law has blatantly lied and perjured themselves in court just to get a guilty verdict.
I would definitely do more investigation into other suspects and also see why her brother said the things he said.
Example: Who was driving the SUV that pulled up on the curb the day before her disappearance?.
Come on people, This is a person's life you are typing about, Let's not rush to judgment but instead, Get the right JUDGMENT.
first of all we need to be checking the dude that she beat in TENNESSEE. secondly a video tape is not evidence and thired of all police are totally blowing this out of porportion fourth but not least the truth will prevail. and jigzy will be home!!!!!!!
based upon the cute pet name i would say jigzy is the asshole behind bars!well hes where he deserves to be let his ass rot in jail forever and for your dumbass to be on here were u there no none of us were so ur defending someone that could possibly be innocent but also very guilty wait til everything comes out before u go defending jigzy!
My heart goes out to the family and friends of Jamaica through their tragic loss. No matter what the circumstances are leading up to this tragedy,it is important to remember that a mother has lost her daughter and a 6 year old child has no one to call mommy anymore. However it is important to remember that no one has the power to be judge, jury, and executioner. Our legal system is based on the premise that we are all innocent before proven guilty in a court of law. I have personally known the accused Jigzy for some time now who is known to have a great passion for his children and race cars. At no time have I ever seen Jigzy to exhibit any sign of violence towards anyone. However if he is somehow involved in this tragedy, I'm sure our legal system will have no problem in enacting the suitable punishment. In the mean time let us keep both their families in our prayers.
Man O Man My heart goes out to the Family of BoneQuesha Johnson but boy O boy I gots 2 luv readin dis section 2day yo for all dose Moon criqets and there hate fo da Pigs! LMAO ! Baby spawning machines and drug dealers low lifes and straight up no good for nothing dirt bags! 1 down 1000000000 to go!
Forensics and the Gates Case
Posted: December 16, 2009 5:11 pm
As we reported yesterday, Donald Eugene Gates was freed in Arizona after serving nearly three decades behind bars for a Washington, D.C., crime he didn’t commit. An examination of the forensics behind his wrongful conviction makes a strong case for federal forensic reform to prevent injustices like this in the future.
FBI forensic analyst Michael Malone testified at Gates’ trial in 1982 that hairs found at the scene of the 1981 rape and murder were “microscopically indistinguishable” from Gates’ hairs. His statements vastly overstated the possible conclusions that could be drawn from a hair comparison. Unlike some other forensic disciplines (DNA testing, blood type testing), hair comparison analysis can only reveal potential similarities between specimens, not the statistical likelihood that two specimens might share common characteristics.
Although Malone’s forensic conclusions have been challenged in other cases, and a 1997 Justice Department review discredited his work, no formal review of his convictions has ever been conducted. The Judge who presided over the Gates case recently ordered the U.S. Attorney’s Office to conduct such a review.
Gates joins a growing group of exonerees whose wrongful convictions were caused, at least in part, by unvalidated or improper forensic science. More than 100 people have been exonerated through DNA testing after unvalidated or improper forensic science contributed to their wrongful conviction (flawed analysis of hair was a factor in many of those cases). The National Academy of Sciences has reported a systemic lack of forensic standards and oversight and has proposed the creation of an independent federal agency to oversee the forensic sciences. According to a report released by the National Academy of Sciences earlier this year, microscopic hair analysis is not a valid science.
In response to the groundbreaking NAS report finding serious problems with forensic science nationwide, the Innocence Project recently drafted a proposal for federal legislation to create the a federal Office of Forensic Science Improvement and Support (OFSIS). The office would be established within the Department of Commerce, which would help define the office’s agenda for research. OFSIS would also engage existing government entities to regulate the mandatory accreditation of crime labs and certification of forensic practitioners; support science-based education and training throughout the criminal justice system; provide periodic needs assessments of the forensic system; and oversee compliance. To learn more and sign a petition in support of the agency visit the Just Science Coalition website.

When this man was charged with the rape murder 28 years ago, there was an audience just like this one on this roster cheering for his execution. He was vilify and repudiate by media and people in general. 28 years later he walked out of prison a free man. Hewas wrongly convicted. The system (shitem) sucks.
People please be careful what you wish on people because it might come straight to you.
ALL THESE MEN SERVE TIME FOR MURDERS THEY DIDN'T COMMIT.
Dean Cage 14 yrs of a 40 yrs sentence
Orlando Boquete serve 12 yrs of a 50 yrs sentence
Bernard Webster 20 yrs
Larry Johnson 18 yrs of a life sentence.
Ricky Robinson 25 yrs
Ronald Taylor 12 yrs
David Sheepherd 9 yrs
Frederick Daye 10 yrs
Bruce Godshalk 14 yrs
William Gregory
Clerence Harrison 18 yrs
John Restivo 16 yrs of a 33 1/2 yrs sentence.
247 prisoner have been recently freed.
This is Great information, Not only because it is fact but because it is history.
Jesus who is the purest of all mankind, Was himself stoned and spit apon by the very prople he died for.
I in no way would wish what happened to our Lord and Savior to happen to anyone else, Not even my worse enemy.
If it is found that the murder was commited by Marvon due to his own admission, Then Justice will prevail and he will answer to the powers that be, However if it's found that another person was wrongly convicted by the public/Media, Then we should all do the right thing and ask GOD for forgiveness, Let's not have to ask.
Please understand that we have a right to a jury of our peers, To hear the evidence and make an informed decision, LET'S FIRST GET THE TRUTH, Before we destroy what could possibly be another innocent life.
"LET HE/SHE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE"
My prayers go out to both families. First and foremost my heart goes out to the child who has lost both parents to a situation that will later in her life want answers to. No Matter what ANYONE says EVERYONE can say she and he were both good people at some point and time in their life but the outcome of this case will NEVER add up. We will NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH to this tradegy. Jigzy comes from a good family and so did Jamaica but they both led lives only they can be responsible of at the end of the day GOD has the last say and ONLY he can pass judgement. In our hearts of hearts know that to move on in life it is hard to move on in long journey as such but it must be done for the childs sake and in her best interest not to be surrounded by anyone that will speak anything except for the LOVE her mom and dad had for her. LET HER SOUL NOW R.I.P may god be with her and Jigzy but MOST OF ALL THE CHILD!!!
