This is a completely misrepresented story. I work for the company in question and you didn't show ANY of what was said by us, didn't even acknowledge the fact that this man TOTALED his chair. It was so bad it looked like he was drag racing in it; it was practically in pieces. And we are NOT obligated to do anything outside of our rental contract all because he's covered by Medicare which you also felt the need to omit from your piece. You also neglected to mention how it was the MANUFACTURER'S error for sending us the wrong part which is why there was such a delay. We're wrong because we don't want to take a loss on a chair that costs several thousand dollars? Why can't we just switch out the chair? This was all explained to you yet, it somehow got lost in translation since it's not part of the segment. This is the kind of poor journalism that runs rampant in the media today; people like you are the reason that the truth about Iraq and the government and all the things people NEED to know are kept locked away. We are not Lex Luthor and you certainly are NOT Superman. There was a clear and intentional misrepresentation of information and if that's how you get ratings then I have to question every single Help Me Howard segment I've ever seen. I thought reporters were supposed to do just that--report. Report the TRUTH, not fabricate it. This segment is a disgrace to truthful and accurate reporting. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
