Fake Sports Star Scams Hundreds From His Assistant
He told his assistant he was worth millions, so how come she paid for everything?
Evelyn Gonzalez was just looking for a job, instead she got taken for a ride.
It all began when she put her resume on Craigs List and got a call from Robert Schnepf.
She says "He was basically telling me he was a pro racer for Suzuki, he needs an assistant full time, cuz he's traveling, he's going to Asia in November and he needs someone to do paperwork, do his run-arounds, basically be like a little slave for him. That was his words."
It was the first week in October and Evelyn decided to give it a try, but when she tried to do some research on him, nothing came up.
She says Robert had told her that he would not come up on Google, because he had reportedly paid them $165,000 to be "taken off of Google." This he added was requested by his "sponsor" Suzuki, because he had been involved in a car accident and had over 20 tickets in his name and they wanted to downplay the publicity.
Evelyn accepted this bizarre explanation, plus he also included that a Suzuki bike was coming out soon to be named after him, he had tons of deals going on and he needed Evelyn's cooperation.
Any trepidation she may have had then was further smoothed over when he began promising her a car, a $100,000 salary and plans to erase all of her debts.
But first he told her to collect about $400 of her own money. Robert told Evelyn that he wanted to see his employees "give out first" , before he paid them and then he would double whatever they gave out.
So Evelyn was instructed to meet Robert every morning with his coffee and cigarettes, which she paid for. Whenever they took a cab somewhere, she paid for it. When they went to lunch meetings, she would foot the bill.
Evelyn's first assignment was to set Robert up with real estate companies to look for commercial real estate, because he was supposedly looking for office space. Her phone calls and contacts set him up with various midtown Manhattan real estate agencies, all eager to do business with this "millionaire sports star/entrepreneur."
Evelyn was also instructed to schedule meetings with bank officials to help Robert merge his bank accounts, but when it came time to complete any of these bank or real estate transactions, nothing ever happened.
Ironically, by the second and third week, when Evelyn's money was running out, these same real estate agencies were now picking up the tab on their lunch meetings.
Then in the third week, Evelyn really began to get second thoughts, when Robert asked her to create a false Chase Bank account showing 10 million dollars in his account.
She says "He had me forge and print out an account that I typed his name, a random account number and 10-million dollars. He had me print it out, paste it to the sheet, as if it was his."
When she told him that this was fraud, she says this is what he told her:
"You have nothing to worry about. It's just until I can get my guys in at Citibank...because I can' t do this right now."
But Evelyn had had enough. When she asked to be paid the money he had promised her, he told her to wait on a corner in Bayridge and one of his Financial Advisors would show up and pay her. Of course this never happened and now Evelyn is out nearly $ 500. When her calls to Robert went unanswered and unreturned, she called Help Me Howard.
Howard decided to start at the Queens address that Robert had told Evelyn to include on the fraudulent Chase bank account.
That's where Howard and Evelyn met up with Robert's parents. The address is their home. They were only too happy to tell Howard about their son and how he has scammed them out of money and the long trail of girls who've shown up on their doorstop, who have also lost money to Robert Schnepf.
Unfortunately Howard was not able to track down Robert Schnepf this time, but this is not the last time you'll hear about Robert Schnepf.

I know where this guy is..hes on staten island. he turned up out of nowhere doing the same thing to me and my family. im an upcoming hip hop artist and he told me he was a producer and that he was worth millions. he took me to a music store and had an order made up for me to build an in home studio. he promised to have his assistant come and pay for the all the equipment. Never happened. This guy sat down with real estate agents and pretended to buy john francos house in staten island and when it came time to pay up he cancelled. he then tried to scam the owner of illusions a night club in staten island. Most recently he met a woman named rennee and stayed with her for about a week before he took her for 6 grand ...i kno where this guy is..i know where he is at this very moment in time!
My family has also been his victims! The police were at my home yesterday at which time I reported his fraud, theft and scams! I have copies of the exact "fake account" that Ms. Gonzalez created! I have several other documents, in the millions, that he contracted to purchase. I gave him approx $1700 and he stole $2600 on the last morning that I saw him...yesterday! I know where he lives. We are a group of people, on Staten Island, that were all taken by him.

He says the DJ Scribbles and him can help me out, IF! If I let him on a Club I am about to start promoting... I am so glad I passed on that!!!

Went through the same scam stories - dealt with real estate, contractors, car dealerships etc. have all documents re: this scamer. even waited on the Brooklyn corner with others for 5 hours waiting for "payment" never happened. I was scammed by this guy as well, over $900 out of my pocket. Im a college student and i lost my full time job because of this guy and now i have all sorts of bills that backed up on me that im going crazy to pay. I am currently working over 70 hours a week while attending college full time just to get back on track from a weeks worth of fradulent spending on this guys behalf. I found his personal bank statements that Ms. Gonzalez created and tried to find out if his accounts even existed, i was told that chase has never heard of the man nor does he have any bank accounts with them. My car is no longer on the road because of his failure to pay me and now i have to take transit to all three of my jobs and to school and back again.
Howard - It would be great if you can catch this guy and have him locked up! What a crook! I didn't stay up last night to watch the segment, but Evelyn should have known better than to use her own money for anything. It's really sad because people are so in need of a job, they become gullible. I hope you are able to help Evelyn get her money back.

I have also been scammed by this guy. He had me set up meetings with car dealerships, real estate offices. He even went as far as to pretend he was on the phone with a bank transferring funds to pay for office space. When "pay day" came around, he left me waiting forever on a street in brooklyn saying he was on his way. Of course he never showed up. Luckily, all I lost was money for cigarrettes and coffee, but I am sad for those who lost more. I guess we have all learned an important lesson here.

Hi, My name is Katie. I came across this article and everything that you guys have been saying happened to me. He approached me on the Staten Island Ferry and told me that he was a music producer and needed a personal assistant. I was taken back by this and had my guard up. I explained to my dad about the what it looked to be the "perfect job" but my dad said it all sounded to good to be true and something was a little fishy. I "worked" with Rob for about 5 days buying him cigarettes and coffee in the morning while chauffeuring him around Staten Island to go on his bogus business meetings. Scamming over $250 on my credit card, $100 from Julianna the interior decorator, wasted massive amounts of time from electricians, contractors and real-estate brokers, he promised the world but we never saw a dime. All the money I spent he guaranteed double and while dealing with the decorating company, he had asked her for money and pay her back double. He told us that his mother was Geraldine Ferrara and that if we wanted to purchase grants for a small business we would give him $10,000 and in return recieve $300,000. That was the red flag to Julianna, which spoke to my Father. We looked his background up and found his page on MYSPACE.COM and then we seized communication with him. Robert didn't stop calling trying to make the deal and said he had the money. I've been in contact with another personal assistant about this scam and I personally want to see this scammer behind BARS because he has scammed one to many. I am willing to testify against this fake and see some karma! I can't believe that this crook is still running around manipulating people and using their money! Something has to be done about this ASAP!
This guy came into my club told my head promoter and event mc that he has produced many well known up and coming dance tracks such as stop playing with my mind, sexy chick and a few tracks by flanders. Everyone should respect him because hes one of the biggest promoters in the game. This fellow "Big Rob" is nothing but a liar and scam artist.

This guy tired to scam us too... in FLORIDA about a year ago, he used our company name to try to get modeling contract in LA. He even convinced NY radio station PULSE 87.7 to fly us out for a meeting, and promised to invest 5 million dollars with them. Promised my recording artist JAYQUAN and others in the industry record deals, producing, etc... I am the one who took all those pictures used in your segment!! he is CRAZY!

I was running a Domestic Violence Charity event where "Big Rob" Called that he wanted to make a donation to our Charity. It started out as 50,000 by end of Event it was 100,000 from his own accounts Which was Cross Fire Industries and his Sponsors Suzuki, Monster and Heinken were going to donate 3.5 Million dollars so we can make a center for For Domestic Violence on Staten Island. am the executive director of a not for profit organization on Staten Island that advocates on behalf of women and children. This dispicable person found a flyer for our fundraiser for domestic violence and contacted us to make a donation. He came to the event and made a commitment of $100,000.with a future commitment of 3,500,000 for a center for abused women. I thought my 15 year dream had come true. He spewed every promise that he made to everyone on this site insisting that Geraldine Ferraro was his mother and he was a motorcross rider with a huge Suzuki sponsorship. Unfortunately my dream became a nightmare when I was convinced the first night that he was a fraud . I had an extensive background check done and warned everyone that needed to know. He attempted to get my organizations bank account information to have the funds transferred into. Luckily I didn't fall out of a tree yesterday so that never happened. I played along for a week or so hoping to have him arrested but as in most cases he vanishes when he knows you are on to him. He really isn't as smart as he thinks he is... actually he is a moron. Unfortunately because the people he scams are good people they are not aware that a person could be as psychopathic as he is. I am curious to know with warrants out for his arrest why he is still on the street, Actually when I spoke to the detective in Queens with the warrant and I told him exactly where he would be on a given night at the precise time the detective refused to make the trip to Staten Island. It's too bad the trip wasn't worth it. This despicable person might be off the street now and not able to take advantage of others. As an advocate for abused women I am particularly incensed that he preys on women. I am convinced that when he saw a flyer for an event for a women's organization he saw dollar signs and a plethora of opportunities. My members were on to him at first glance so he left with his tail between his legs. He told me I made him nervous. I wonder why..because he knew I was on to him. Obviously he has been running his scam for years to his advantage. I suggest that everyone post his phot and bio on their social websites. Well, let me start by saying i had the privilege of being one of the first people to encounter this piece of garbage when he hit Staten Island. I was the creator and promoter of the aforementioned charity show which was designed to benefit the world of women organization. Robert Schnepf, claimed he had seen a flier advertising the event, and that he would like to make a very sizable donation. I was ecstatic! I met with him, let him into my home, lent him a few dollars, and even gave him a few rides around town. All the while believing this man was a philanthropist with a heart of gold. Turns out, he has a heart of stone. Aside from the donations, he promised me everything from large venue shows to money directly deposited into my bank account, ( yes, he wanted to deposit it directly...." just give my assistant your acount # pal " lol...),to a huge benefit for multiple sclerosis awareness which directly affects my family... So,you can imagine how excited i was... Excited, yet suspicious. So i started investigating things, and nothing he said about himself checked out. I soon realized this creeps game. Unfortunately by that time he was onto the next kindhearted person to scam... People, please be warned that the most telling sign of a con artist is " DETAILS ". He has them all on his side, but what he doesn't have is the truth, and finally all of his lies have caught up to him. My heart truly goes out to all who have been affected by this worm of a human being. Any help i could provide, please don't hesitate to contact me through this message board...............

I met this douchebag out for a business dinner meeting one time to discuss his 100,000 dollar contribution to my cousins charity event. My name is Stefanie and I'd like to start by saying that I contacted Help Me Howard in July of this year, because Robert Schenpf had conned me out of $3,000, and if anyone had bothered to take these accusations seriously, a lot of innocent people couldve been protected.
I met Robert Schnepf aka "Big Rob" on June 25, 2009. He told me he was the head honcho at Pulse 87, that he made millions and that he needed a personal assistant.
Sound familiar?
He told me I'd have to put up my own money for his business and personal expenses because he didnt like to carry any cash on him because he had been robbed before. When I asked why he couldnt give me money to hold for him, he told me that his last asistant used the money he gave her to "bail her boyfriend out of jail," and that he needed to know he could trust me first. He told me my starting salary would be $80K, and that he was going to buy me an Audi because "he couldnt have me showing up in a crappy car if I was going to be seen with him." He also told me that one of my job requirements was that I had to "dress sexy" because we'd be in the spotlight often, and "thats just how the industry is."

It seemed strange at first, but the next night we went to a "business meeting" at Glo in Westbury, where he introduced me to Showboat, who was a legimate DJ for KTU in tha past, and for Pulse 87, before they went off air. He and Showboat were planning to go into a business venture together, and Rob was putting up $100K in order to use Showboat's notariety to make a name for himself.
He had notarized letters, signed receipts, legal documents, the works. It seemed to good to be true, but then I thought to myself, "this guy has all these legal documents, and his connections are legit, and he'd have to be an idiot to put his signature on all these papers if he wasnt going to follow through.'
One week and $3,000 later, Big Rob left me waiting on the corner of 48th Rd in Queens, where he was going to meet me in "a silver corvette" and pay me what I was owed.
Guess what never happened?....
I went through his email account and found emails and contact information for several other people who were looking for him. Turns out, he had done this to people all over the country (Texas, Florida and South Carolina.) I looked for help wherever I could think of. I went to the police, I filed a civil lawsuit, I wrote to EVERY NEWS STATION including Help Me Howard. I even went to the Queens County District Attorney's office, with all the documents, evidence, paperwork, WITNESSES, and PAST VICTIMS, and I was basically told that they weren't going to pursue criminal charges against him because what he did "wasnt considered fraud."
I think perhaps the Queens County DA's office missed that class in college. If they even finished college. Judging by their definition of "fraud", I think its safe to say that intelligence, or perhaps, initiative is lacking.
Seeing as how he's wanted in every state, I don't think its a matter of whether or not authorities will find him, I think its a matter of whether or not authorities will find him before someone he owes money to finds him.
All i know is that if these charges were acknowledged when i brought them to your attention in July, EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN SCAMMED SINCE JULY COULD HAVE BEEN SPARED.
Perhaps our justice system should, oh, i dont know, ACT like justice system and LOCK THE P.O.S. UP

I have a bit of a different story but he did try to get me as well… I met him about 2 years ago he found my page on my space and must have done his research. He took his lead from there and said that he was a Fireman and worked in a Manhattan firehouse doing search and rescue. I was told he had a 50ft yacht, expensive cars, motorcycles etc. Sorry but no city worker owns a multi million dollar yacht and hundred thousand dollar cars. We spoke for a while but I didn’t meet up with him something wasn’t sitting right with me. He finally got tired of trying and disappeared for a bit. A while later he said he was going to Miami for a business opportunity. (All of a sudden he stopped running into burning buildings lol)… Well about 8 months later I got a phone call and it was him saying he was back in NY and he wanted to meet up that he constantly though about me while he was in Florida and that I should give him a shot “ he had a feeling about me”… He said had a new job working for Pulse 87 as a music producer with a 5 year contract, he was ready to settle down, and he finally his life in order unlike before. He said he was best friends with Showboat, DJ Scribbles and he knew a lot of people all over the world. He said he was getting his own morning show on Pulse87 and that I would soon see him on Billboards all over NY. He said if we were ever in the street that people would come up to him and that he is a local celebrity (know I know why) He told me he had a son he knew was his and a daughter that he was waiting on a paternity test for because he didn’t think it was his (he forgot to tell me about the kids when we first started talking)… Well I decided to finally give in and meet up we hung out in Glendale Queens where he said he lived for a few hours in that time he asked me to buy him his NEWPORTS. He told me he had a great feeling about me and knew this was it for him that “I was the one” After I left I knew something was up he kept calling to make more plans but all these plans were for me to take him somewhere or do something for him.. He called me everyday there after asking for favors. He asked me if I could come take him to get his Brand Spanking New top of the line Chevy Camaro from the dealership, he asked me if I could put a cell phone under my name because his boss at Pulse 87 was upset because he didn’t have a PDA phone. He told me that his X screwed up his credit and that he is trying to fix things but until then he couldn’t get a phone from any company and that he would get fired if he didn’t get one soon. He said the cell phone bill would be reimbursed with the company and as a perk mine would be paid to. He also asked me for $300.00 for child support because he forgot to give his X money for his son and his X was going be furious and take him to court over it. He told me if I lend him the money he would give it back to me that weekend. He told me we could go for breakfast on Saturday and then go get his car I was extremely hesitant about this and he said and I quote, “Giving me the money will be a good thing It will show you that I can be trusted you will see as soon as I hand u the money back that will build trust” yea well I didn’t give him the money because in my world trust is earned not handed to you and your child isn’t my responsibility after hanging out with you for 2 hours. He asked me to take him to New Jersey to go see his best friend Showboat for a meeting. I can keep going.. Needless to say I went with my intuition on this one. I cant believe this guy is still around. I heard about this guy 18 months ago when he wanted to buy my website, www.NewYorfreestyle.com for 15 grand and I just hung up. I feel bad for anyone that gave him anytime to even hear him speak. He's been known in the industry as a scammer and if you just found out, then you neeed to do some research cause its on the net.

The mystery has been solved! Linda Florenza who met Rob Schnepf in Florida a year ago, introduced him to Bernadette Davenport President of WOW two months ago. He has been in a relationship and living with her (Linda). When Linda took off with the funds from the October event of WOW and The American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Walk money, The incident was covered up to protect Bernadette Davenport and Pat Caltabiano, who were aware of this a month ago. Since then Rob has been outed as a Professional Scam Artist, It is embarrasing to her. The shame of it all is that the WOW members were not warned by them in any way! Which has left each one of us vulnerable and some of us personally scammed by these unscrupulous People! We really need to rethink this organization.

Absolutely non of what you have said about my knowledge of Rob before the night of the charity event is true. All I can think of by reading your accusatiion is that you are in Robs corner. The charity event took place 1 month ago and I met Rob that night. I never heard of or knew of him before then. As I stated before I had his number that night and received a call the following day alerting me to his antics. I immediately notified the authorities and worked with them. Neither WOW or it's members have been harmed in any way. This Big Robber is the best liar in the world. His lies have details like you wouldn't believe. He has contracts and bank account statements to go along with his lies. I don't understand why he makes up some promises that he does - just to get kicks out of it? I don't care what kind of childhood he had, you just don't treat people like your toys the way he does. He is a sick individual. He lied to soo many people here in Staten Island. He wants to play Mr. Big Shot- motorcycle stuntmen for Suzuki/ big music producer for Akon and many popular club songs/ philanthropist with a generous heart donating millions. He lived in my house for about a week. I saw him milking my mother-in-law for money promising her to pay her back. He wired a bank transfer from Chase that never went through obviously and now she's out of money to pay for mortgage. I don't know who is helping him send these fake wire transfers from Chase. He sent wire transfers to Mercedes dealership, Dodge, real estate company for $4.7 million, and much more just to name a few. He wanted my husband to be his bodyguard (because so many people are "jealous of him") and had him on call driving him around places. He even told my husband that he better get a car wash because he can't be seen in a dirty Corvette. They went to the mall to buy clothes since supposedly all his clothes are in the Hamptons and my husband spotted him for about $400. An expensive salon in Staten Island, cancelled their appointments and had a private event just for him because he had them convinced that he was some sort of celebrity and then my husband was left with the bill. This guy is just one sick puppy. I can't even write about all his stunts. He scammed by wasting their money and time and he deserves to go to jail for a long time.

This is the first time I have ever blogged or whatever you call this but I need to at least voice my knowledge of this situation. I was contacted a few weeks ago by a friend. She told me that she had met a guy who seemed to have alot going on and he took a liking to her. She explained many of the same details mentioned in some of the blogs I have read such as:the Geraldine Ferraro and Paul Castellano thing, Suzuki, Heinekin, clubs, record producing andso on. She stated that she was asked to be his personal assistant because he was impressed with the wasy she handled herself within the charity originizations she worked with. Now, let me tell you that since I know her I have heard nothing but good things and have personally witnessed Lynda putting in countless hours working for these charities. Afew days after the initial phone call she called me early one evening and said that BIG ROB was looking to hire a security team and that he was interviewing a few people but that none of them were licensed and were not very professional. She asked if I would be interested and I told her I'd be willing to listen and talk to him. He asked that I meet him at a pool hall off Bay street at around midnight so that we could talk. I did and when I spoke with him he went on about how he has major sponsorships from Suzuki, hienekin and so on. He stated taht alot of peple were jealous and that he needed security oncall 24/7 to insure his saftey and to keep himself from getting into altercations since he admittidly had a record for violance. I exlained waht I would be willing to do and he told me to name a price and I did. He offered more than I asked and included a car since he only wanted to be seen in luxury vehicles. He personally told me that his attorney would have a contract completed for me within days and asked if I would start the very next day by keeping an eye on his PERSONAL ASSISTANT, which was my friend. He stated that he was leaving the next day for a tour of Japan and didnt feel comfortable leaving her behind now that people know she is working for him. He told me he would pay me promptly upon his return. When I left him that night I waited about an hour and then called my friend. I told her hey, if what he says is true than she truley has stepped in shit but that I would be cautious because usually when things sound to good to be true they are. I did a little poking around and got nothing but lies and stories , I called my friend and told her be very careful and to call his bluff and to demand to be paid immdiatly for the time she was devoting to this nonsence. Of course as soon as she did that she began to realize this was all a fraud and at that point she told me personally she was going directly to the authorities. Anyone defending this guy or spinning this off on my friend is honestly not seeing the truth for what ever reason ??? I think anyone who can lie, cheat and steal so out in the open is very dangerous and I urge anyone who is still around this guy to cooperate fully with anyone who is willing to put this guy where he belongs, in jail. The guy was so braisen he gave me his lawyers name and told me to call he and see how fast my contract could be done.

To mario and everyone else on this blog or involed with this big rob thing i can tell you this the way to go about this is civil because if it is done in civil court a judgement gets put out and if that judgement is not taken care than it goes in failure..which means he gets whats coming to him in the justice system in criminal court there is a way to go about this ..i have worked in the courts seen this hundreds of times ..i know everyone wants blood from him but you have to understand there is a way to go about this..He is not worth getting in trouble..
I dealt with this tool shed also, thankfully, I was only out a few hundred for lunch and drinks.
He tried to scam ADP, and brought in all sorts of professionals to make it look even more real. We all knew pretty soon the guy was full of shit when he needed money for the train.....do guys this rich take the LIRR? I learned a lesson about greed, because myself along with the other people that were scammed, were all in it for the "big opportunity"
A couple of things that he does that makes the scam look real:
1. He involves few people who know who he really is. At the lunch meeting we went to, it was a table full of professionals, all of which just met this guy for the first time, even his assistant (I believe it was the assistant before this poor girl got involved). We had myself, payroll reps, accountants and attorneys at the lunch.....seemed pretty legit at the time.
2. While we were outside of the steakhouse, a "stranger" came out and noticed him and asked for his autograph and a picture. We realize now that that guy was also part of the scam.
The minute I truly realized he was full of shit is when he showed me a picture of his $16M hampton house, IT WAS A FRONT PAGE OF A BROCHURE!!!!! Right after that, we all knew he was full of it (and that he needed money to get a train home). That was the last night we all saw him, thank god.
Just goes to show you, something that looks to good to be true, 99.9% of the time, it is.
I hope this guy gets nailed! After reading this blog, I consider myself lucky.

So from the day I met " BIG ROB" I knew he was full of it. He was dating a friend of mine. He told me he was a stunt double in Fantastic four. He said he worked for Suzuki and was affiliated with the Mafia. Lol. He even bought my friend nice gifts (probably with stolen money) She was not a fat girl or ugly but unfortunately she fell for his lies. She met his family in NC and in NY. This guy is a loser. He has no money, no friends, nowhere to live. He fooled a lot of innocent women.He even stole from my friends family and had so many 2 kids with other woman while he was with her. He went to jail and she went to see him and the people at rikers said he had his visit for today. I found out from a guy who works there that it was on of his baby mamas. He moved to florida with his girl and daughter and apparently had a son recently. He just called my friend 2 weeks ago and said he wanted to be back with her because he loved her and his baby mama with the 2 kids was stalking him. What a shame this happened.

Just to inform you all....He has been under investigation since October, He is in Florida. I know exactly where he lives, what city and what business he is working under. His wife is also a part of this as well and this is a big joke to them. She also has a few scams herself. They are both addicted to Crack and he scams women to support their drug habbit. Big Rob let 2 innocent guys go to jail for a false promise. 3 years ago in east NY he held up a gas station and told 2 people who thought were close with rob to steal cash out of the register and steal some redbulls from the fridge. He ditched them at the gas station where they got captured and sent to prison.
Hes forced up and coming artists to pay for "venues" that would promote his riding with Suzuki and that they would make a hayabusya named after him a 1500 i think it was called. He's used my name as the scape goat for all of his financial purchases that thankfully I never paid for.
He's also ruined one good hearted woman's chance of finishing college, forced her to buy a new cell phone under her name and run the bill over every month. He;s had other women pay for the "renovations" of his house in forest hills, as well as pay for food, alcohol and entertainment for all of his other assistants. I was one of them. I realized things were getting shaddy when he would get my friends in trouble with the law and not pay me for doing any work. He promised all the glitz and glamor of helping him with his services of becoming a big name in entertainment but in the end he's screwed me out of finishing college and ruined my relationship with my family.

He's the con man with a thousand faces.
An alleged grifter from Queens with fake identities ranging from motocross champ to war vet to record producer was arrested in Southampton, LI, this week on a Florida warrant.
Robert Schnepf, 35, is also under investigation by the NYPD for attracting women by fabricating accomplishments and for bilking them out of money before vanishing.
His alleged victims have even coined a phrase to describe their experience with the Whitestone man -- "getting Schnepfed."
Southampton cops targeted the 6-foot-6 scam suspect this week after getting reports that he was passing himself off as a struggling veteran and milking sympathetic marks for free food and lodging in the area.
Schnepf was arrested on Monday after a computer check revealed a Florida warrant on a burglary rap from April 2008. He is awaiting extradition.
News of the arrest traveled quickly to Staten Island, where at least a dozen women claim that Schnepf relieved them of thousands of dollars over the past several years.
Several of the women told The Post that Schnepf, a native of Forest Hills, would present himself as a fat cat in need of administrative assistance. He claimed business partnerships with everyone from R&B star Rihanna to Heineken and even gave an October speech at a Staten Island domestic-violence shelter after promising to build it a $3.5 million facility.
"When you look back on it, you feel like an idiot," said Kim Cuneo, 29, of Long Island. "He's just a smooth talker. He's very good at what he does."
Cuneo said she became Schnepf's assistant and introduced him to her father, an executive at the luxury-jet charter company Talon Air in Farmingdale.
She said Schnepf ordered $1 million in flight time but never paid up.
Before Schnepf vanished, Cuneo said, she coughed up more than $3,000 to finance his taste for high-end dinners, Newport cigarettes and Red Bull energy drinks. Schnepf's vast fortune seemed to be continually "tied up," Cuneo said.
In addition to a rap sheet that includes assault charges, Schnepf's record features 24 liens and judgments, in addition to 20 driver's-license suspensions.
Schnepf's alleged victims have filed complaints with the NYPD's 122nd Precinct, and the case is under active investigation, according to the Staten Island District Attorney's Office.

Robert is still in Port St. Lucie, FL. He is going by the name Rob DeLuca and is still trying to scam people. I, along with coworkers spent an entire day with him listening to his BS - we figured out the next day who he really was - never saw him again.
With everything that has been said regarding the situation of robert, when is enough going to be enough? This story has been going around for quite some time about him. All this crap happened how many years ago? And people are still bothering him or still talking about him. Does anyone have lives of thier own anymore? Is this better than the soaps on tv? I can honestly say that I have followed this story since the beginning, I checked his criminial background and have seen incriminating documents that he has against alot of people on this blog. Why has no one heard his side of the story? Why doesnt anyone ask and give him a chance to tell his side of the story? What is everyone hiding that they don't want to give him a chance to defend himself?How do I know? I asked, I listened, I took the time to look at the proof. People are judging him and what it boils down to is, this is all "he said, she said" gossip. People need to focus more on thier own lives and families. Truthfully, I have paid close attention to all this and so far, the only thing I see is, he wants to have his life back and the opportunity to go about his business. I have to say my side of the story about Robbie.I use to get beaten my my boyfriend everyday.I was in denile until he put me in the hospital.I was there for several weeks and when Robbie heard about this he came and saw me.He even got me a ballon and a stuff animal.He told me that everything was going to be ok and that i will be happy some day..
