Family Forced From Their Home by Drug Dealer - Update

What Happens When You Are Punished For Doing the Right Thing?

We first told you about this family a week ago; Andre, Lisa, their kids and their neighbor's drug activities.

Well, a lot can happen in a week. Thanks to the people who work behind the scenes here in our city and get very little credit for it, we have a surprising turn of events.

A New York City family was in fear for their lives because they dared to get involved, when their neighborhood was being held hostage by a neighbor who turned it into a hive for drug dealers and prostitutes.

Andre described this neighbor, "He said he runs everything around here. If a nickel was sold around here, he had in on it."

Andre was at first afraid to call police, afraid he would put his family in danger. Finally he could ignore it no longer and called the FBI.

The next thing they knew, the NYPD showed up at his neighbor's house and arrested 14 people for criminal possession of controlled substances.

When Andre called his FBI contact, asking why he hadn't been alerted to the arrests, he claims the agent was evasive and uphelpful, denying he knew anything about what was going on. But when Andre saw his neighbor talking and laughing with the arresting police, he realized they were in trouble.

When Andre stepped out after the arrests, their doorbell rang. Lisa and one of her boys answered the door and were confronted by a man with a gun.

She described her terror. " This guy slams the door and puts this gun in our face and says he's gonna kill my husband because he talks too much and you make sure you give him the "f....ing" message! My son was hysterical and he's like please, don't hurt my mommy!"

After that incident, Andre says the FBI were still willing to meet with him, but he didn't trust them anymore and called Help Me Howard.

Howard called the FBI and they confirmed that one of their agents did have several conversations with Andre. But later that agent determined that Andre's information was inactionable.

We are happy to report now that Andre, Lisa and their family have been relocated to another state to begin a new life. While we cannot tell you where they went or how this was done, we wish to thank the people who were integral in helping this family in their time of need.
