Feel Good Friday...on Monday...in Brooklyn!

What would you do if Channel 11 gave you $1000 in cash?
No need to check the calender, you eyes aren't decieving you.
It is Monday and yes, Howard is giving away $1000 to one lucky person on Monday!
But there's a catch!
Tune into the PIX News At Ten this Monday night to find out what it is.
And be sure to go to our blog every Thursday night to find out what part of the tri-state area Howard's going to be giving away cash next.
This July 13th, the "Feel Good Monday" location will be Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn....in the vicinity of 7th and Dekalb.
That's where Howard met Kalea. She agreed to help Howard give the money away.
At first she wanted to give it away to The Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy, but because they're not a charitable organization, they couldn't accept the cash.
Then Kalea saw Eugene Shepard waiting for the bus.
Eugene had a tumor and has been getting treatment, he was so happy to receive that money that he could barely speak.
Giving away money feels good any day, even on a Monday.

I would use most of the $1,000 to pay bills and obtain necessary school and daily use items for my son. But I would give my good friend $300 to try to help her since she just lost her job. She has been here for my son and I taking him to school and me to work, food shopping, etc. since I have no vehicle. She has gone above and beyond to help me and I truly believe she deserves $1,000 and more just for herself. She has a truely beautiful heart!!
I just watched "Feel Good Monday," and it was really moving to see the impact that it had on Kaela as well as Mr. Shepard. I could imagine what he is going through and it is very wonderful to see that Kaela picked him out and was someone that could use it.
um thnat was my sister on the t.v today and i am very proud 2 call her my sister and plus she has been very giving since she was very young:) and i am only 12 years old and i want to be just like her when i become her age
Howard,
I just watch your segment of Feel Good Friday on Monday, and I am sitting here right now move to tears. It is such a great segment that you have started. I so much admire Kalea for the discernment she showed in choosing Eugene to receive the $1,000. But more importantly, I admire the emotion she felt in helping someone other than herself. I'm reading the comments here and each person is talking about how much they could use the money. But I feel it so much more rewarding when we think more about others and not ourselves at times because I believe that when we bless others who are in need, we actually make room for our own blessings to come forth. Thank you so much for this segment, it has truly blessed me.
Good Morning,
If I had $1000 right now; I would purchase materials needed to continue with our non-profit organization which supports non-violent prisoners who are visual artist. Our organization is suffering due to the recession; and haven't sold much art in the last couple of months. This program will one day obtain an art gallery to give employment to these artist when the come home from prison. We need money to continue our art exhibiting for Inside Out Art, Inc.; and the continue support of our participants. These often ignored and unrecognized artist will be home soon to contribute to their communities; to give back and repair some of the damage caused by them. Thank you, Carolyn Founder/President
