Every Friday now is "Feel Good Friday," as Help Me Howard is giving away $1000 to one very lucky person.
But there's a catch!

This June 12th, the "Feel Good Friday" location will be Staten Island....in the vicinity of Hylan Boulevard and New Dorp Lane.
In Hylan Plaza, a Staten Island strip mall, Howard ran into Elmi, a college student, who was driving around and recognized him.
Elmi agreed to help Howard give the $1000 away. He initially wanted to help one of the store owners at the mall, which isn't doing so well these days, but then they decided to go over to the Huntington Learning Center, where they were turned away.
Then they ran into John Braccia, a 70-something year old man, who was out with his son. John didn't need the money, but agreed to join in the quest. Then the three of them went around the corner to the bus stop and that's where they found 88-year old Mary Deolaria.
They decided to give the money to Mary and she was so grateful, she began crying.
Mary says she will give the $1000 to her son, who has three children and needs dental surgery.

Great work howard. I love watching the help me howard report on pix. When would you be coming to manhattan? I can really use that money. I live in a room that I can barely pay rent and I have no family and I am only 19 with $500 debt that I can't pay. I would really love to have that money. It can change my life.

Hey Howard,
I'm a huge fan of your segments. You're a very no non-sense kind of guy which I like. The Feel Good Friday is great. When I get home from a long day at work and see this segment, it makes me cry knowing there is some good left in the world. I always think that if ever I were to pass you on the street and was offered the thousand dollars, I always think, who would I give it to? The American Red Cross, the closest homeless shelter, or even a very down on his luck individual on the street...Maybe one day it'll happen. But thank you so much for inspiring hope and faith in a time that definitely needs it!
i live in queens and i am broke that i'm in debt and about to get evicted and end up homeless for the third time my land has an habit of kicking people out and we have a specail need child who we dont want to endup in a shelter please help us bless us with a $1000.

If I had an opportunity for Howard to help me, there are a number of obligations I could choose from. I would use it to pay on my tuition at school; pay on my credit card; pay childcare for my newborn when I go back to work; use it for a staycation; go shopping, or pay a Home Depot account that I was scammed out of that has now diminished my excellent credit report! By the way can you help me find the SOB that did it? I have plenty of information just no resources to go after him. Let me know. Thank's much.

I am a high school Senior and i got accepted to my number 1 school but i cant afford to go. My mother is a single mom and shes barely making the rent i want to make her proud and be the first to go to College and do something with my life.

I am in Staten Island, but not sure if I can get to the location. If I were to get the $1000 I would donate it to someone who really needs it. As a school teacher I see many teenage girls and boys who are pregnant or expectant fathers. I would want to help them get started with what they need for their newborns. Maybe I will see you soon

Hi Howard, I think what your doing is great I wish i could run into you and you would bless me with 1,000, I've been out of work since August it's been horrible! Right now if I had 1,000 I would go and buy my kids clothes I have 3 children and I'm a single parent it's been extremely hard for us I thought not being able to get up and go to work was diffcult but the looks on my kids faces at christmas and just every day telling them I can"t get you simple things like new underwear have been the worst god will bless you for helping someone because I know even though I have it hard right now someone has it worse, keep helping people in the ways you do good will come back to you!

Hello Howard, I am very proud of what you do to help those who have problems with getting there issues resolved on ther own. If I was to have any problems you will be the first one I'll call. As for the $1000 I could help out my household with it. I moved to NY a little over a year ago to be with my now fiance, I attended school fo massage therapy and completed it. I have been out of work and it has been hard. So that money would go straight to my finace who has been holding it down, but it will go to bills. Thnaks for the ear.

I just wanted to say that I was soo touched by the "FEEL GOOD FRIDAY" when you handed the money to the mother walking with her son. You went in the beauty shop and had one of the comotologist hand the envelope to the son for him to give to his mom. she was elderly and I was just... taken back. I felt it and I was only watching it on tv, so i can imagine the feeling i would have had if i was there with you all.
If i had any extra money Howard, Id jump on this bandwagon with you and donate it to those in need. However, im livin off unemployment and trust me its not enough.
i live in massapequa, take care of my 12 yr old brother, as well as my own 3 children. If I had a $1000, Id hit the grocery store immediately. that's the first thing. then I would take the kids to the movies or out to eat because I havent been able to provide them with much extra curricular activites since i got laid off last August. Just to see them so happy and able to have a good night out together would make me emotional and sooo happy. Then I would have to give about $100 to my church. I havent tithed in months, because I can afford to give. Every cents counts in this house at the moment. Hope to see you in my area Howard. Put me on your prayer list, I need a job!

Since losing my job in September, I have been taking care of my mother who is on home hospice care since her cancer has ravaged her body. Something about God knowing what He's doing. I guess it was His will to be available to take care of my mom. I have a 16 year old son and needless to say money is very very tight. If I had $1000 dollars I would pay the tickets I have in judgement to NYC so I wouldn't have to worry about getting my car towed every time I drive it. I take my mom to numerous doctors appointments and because my son has a serious liver condition, I take him to alot a doctors appointments as well. With the remainder, I would take my son somewhere. He has never complained, but this year he asked why we have never been on vacation. I live in the Bronx and my son and I sing in the ARC gospel choir. I would love to see you somewhere.

I would go on a huge shopping spree of mens clothing for them. I would buy things that they need for the summer such as shorts, tanks, socks, briefs and all of that. -I feel so bad for them and everyone waives goodbye to them all the time. they're pretty good guys I jus think that life has dealt the wrong card for them =( I always said, "if I had money, no homeless person would go without clothing, food or shelter" in other words, if I had the chance at these 1000 dollard, I would "pimp" the homeless guy that sits outside my job...he deserves it. summers coming up and I wouldn't want him to still be wearing his raggedy jeans.

Its time for a new sofa, the one that I have was given to me, and take my sons toddler bed and make him a big boy room, cause thats what he is, He just turned 3. I am reaching out to you in desperate need of your expertise, direction, pull and assistance. I have recently had my luggage stolen from La Guardia Airport (Delta Airline) on July 6,2009. The thing Howard, that sets this situation from the rest is that my luggage was scanned as being taken off the plane in La Guardia (Delta) baggage area. However, never making it from the baggage deck in the back to the luggage carouel. At this point Delta has been informing me that they see this all the time luggage never making it from the back. How can this be? We pay to check or luggage not have it stolen internally? Is it no longer safe to check your luggage when you fly? Do emloyees at airport get first dips on your personal property and souveniors?. I have had a supervisor at the airport on July 6,2009 imply to me that my luggage being stolen was an internal job. Which promted me to do some research and found an aricle stating that thier has been an increase of VANISHNG luggage by 66% since 2007,luggage just not showing up on the conveyer belt . Would that be since the decline of the economy and decrease of hours and pay within the airline structure. Please "Howard" can you help?
