Jeweler's Deal Doesn't Quite "Ring" True
A woman's new diamond ring brings more angst then joy!
Three months ago Tatiana DiPaolo went to a Midtown Manhattan jeweler, where she bought two rings.
One was similar to a ring that was out of her price-range and the other one was a ring she bought on site.
A couple weeks later she brought one of the rings back to have it re-sized. There were also several cracks on the ring front, so she returned that ring and got a refund at the store and that's when they told her that they could make a custom-made ring of the initial ring she had liked that was out of her price-range.
So Tatiana took $1000 from her refund and re-applied it as a deposit for the new ring. Then a month later, she began to notice problems with the other ring she had initially bought. The stones began getting cloudy, darker then they had originally looked and some kind of dye was coming off the bottom of the ring, where she could now see metal underneath.
Tatiana took the ring to a jewelry appraiser, who told her the stones were most likely NOT diamonds and that she should have them checked by a professional gemologist.
Tatiana called the jeweler who sold her the ring. According to her, he actually told her on the phone that the stones were not diamonds, but something called "morganites"! That's when Tatiana called "Help Me Howard".
To be absolutely sure, Howard took Tatiana's ring to Udi Moritz, a certified gemologist and a member in good standing with the Gemological Institute of America. He confirmed that the stones were NOT diamonds, they were more likely cut glass!
So that's when Howard and Tatiana headed back to the jewelry store. They confronted the store owner, who admitted that three of the stones were actually morganite. His story went on saying that one of his workers had dropped the ring and the stone had come out. He also denied ever telling Tatiana that the ring was 100% diamond, but he did do the right thing and returned $1,300.00 to Tatiana, plus he gave her the custom-made ring she had ordered.
When choosing a reputable jeweler, do the same as if you were choosing a doctor, lawyer or other professional; Get recommendations from family and friends. Consider how long they've been in the business and look for GIA diplomas or other evidence of their experience. A knowledgeable jeweler can explain how the "4 C's" ( cut, clarity, color & carat weight) affect the value of diamonds and will encourage you to compare several stones within your price range.
The Gemological Institute of America can also help you find a certified jeweler, who is a graduate of their program.

A good friend and music affiliate of mine was ripped of by the Le Chien Pet Salon in New York. She lives in California but I live here in New York and she is asking for my help. I decided to contact Help Me Howard for assistance.

I have been working hard every day for the last three weeks to get my money back from Le Chien Pet Salon on 3rd Avenue, Trump Parc Plaza, in Manhattan.
I purchased a supposed "championship Papillion dog" over three years ago for $3900. It was a gift for a friend who I was working on music with,
and the dog was vicious!! It repeatedly bit him one day after I purchased it. It was a completely crazed dog so I immediately
took it back. They said I could exchange it for any dog I wanted, I have attempted to get two
more dogs and they say either they cannot get the dog I want, or that they cannot reach the breeders, or that the litter
was just born and I have to wait nine weeks...and on and on and on! It is all just a stalling
tactic. I was referred to them by Donald Trump!!! I want my money back, now!!! I do not want a dog from these people, their energy is all wrong.
They have put me through the ringer and all these unanswered calls and stress to try to get my own money!!
I cannot trust them anymore they make up excuses every time I reach them and they never return my calls.
I asked them to western union the money to me last week, they said they were in a meeting with their attorney and accountant and would call me back but never did. The owners are Lisa and Edward, they are old and that is why I have tried to be respectful. Now I realize they are thieves.
If you can negotiate
for immediate payment to be wired by western union, I do not want a check from them!!!! If I have to hire an attorney they will have to pay the fees.
I will write a letter to Donald Trump and attempt to get him involved, if they do not reimburse me immediately! I must then get the NY News channel involved, do you know anyone at a news channel that takes this kind of thing public?
They keep the doors locked all the time so they may not let you in. Just act interested in the dogs in the window, if there are any!!!!!

My name is Athena Aponte I need your help my two nieces lives are in danger. There Mother Dorothy Ricco Velasquez has been physically and burially and mentally abusing her three children one 15 year old boy,13year old girl,and 8 year girl. She has also been lying to the court claming that there father Orlando Velasquez my brother has been abusing them. these accusation are all false. Dorothy has been having and sexual affair with and emt worker here in the bronx name Henry E. Cabrera. My father learn of this affair on april 6, 2009 when he check on Dorothy facebook wed site he read the graph love affair of these two individual. My brother file his divorces papers on this and has been trying to get custodies of his two daugthers Arista and Carmen,there mother is lying on court documents claiming the my brother abuse the boy not true. she is using the system to her advantage to keep the children for tax purposes. because she wants to continue to use them for her taxs. she does not care about these children, she never change a diaper in her life while having them, she never cook meal or clean for them. This was done only by my brother orlando only. he is the mother and father to these children. dorothy works 7 to 8 hours a day 5 days a week. when she come from work the children want to say hello to her she just start screams and yelling at then, why I'm writing this to you is because my brother orlando needs help, right now. she hit the 8 year old carmen yesterday for taking a dvd movie out a chest draw to watch, the little girl was scream and yelling. she when runing to the 13 year older sister arista and they lock themselves in there bathroom protecting themselves against there mother dorothy. arista call the police and they took her arista and mother and brother and sister to Arden Hill hospital they trict arista to talk to the doctors and now they are sending her to a shelter name a friend house. arista does not need to be is this shelter,arista and carmen are afraid of there mother dorothy, carmen is now left alone with her mother dorothy, and durannge brother that could hurt her, so that dorothy can brain wash and physcially abuse her to except this man name Henry. No one wants to help my poor brother because he is a man. its a shame that when the shoe is in the other foot there is no help. the surpreme court and the family court in orange county can not even help my brother to save these two little girls, the mother dorothy is thinking of thinkless and not of the will being of her daugthers. Everyone is waiting for a tragedy to happen before they can do something. even dorothy mother maria gasent and her other daugther lisa gasent already physcially abuse arista and threaten poor carmen. my brother is disabled, has heart problems and other things he is in a wheel chair and is now stay with me and our parents. my sister in law Jenny and Uncle Pedro are trying to get arista out of this shelter this early morning. This is an innocent young girl that wants to be with her father. Arista and Carmen Velasquez want to be with there father and there's no one to help him.
