11:59PM | April 30, 2009 | comments: 31

What would you do if someone gave you $1000 in cash?
Get ready for "Feel Good Friday," as every Friday Help Me Howard will be giving $1000 to one very lucky person.
But there's a catch!
Tune into the PIX News At Ten this Friday night to find out what it is.
And be sure to go to our blog every Thursday night to find out what part of the tri-state area Howard's going to be giving away cash next.
This May 1st, the "Feel Good Friday" location will be Midtown, Manhattan.... in the vicinity of Bryant Park.

Are you kidding me? I watched feel good friday today and I was disgusted! There are so many organizations that could use that money, and with the economy as bad as it is you gave away $1,000 to a women who could be a drug addict or drunk for all you know.

A good idea, but it is funny though. The first person doesn't get to keep the money, he/she gets to give the money to the second hand. It is up to the second hand person to keep it all, keep some and give some, or give it all.
So only the second person get to keep the cash.
I need some serious cash also, as I am nearly broke. But more than cash, I need a job. I am a certified PC technician, but still can't find a job.
By the way, I wonder how come the HMH program has the budget of $1000 each week to give out... You guys probably made some good money from the ads.
I know just now towards the end of that Feel Good Friday segment that the lady that got the ca$h walked a lil away from Howard dropped the envelope on the ground and then picked it up back up after they told her to put it away like 10 times. Did anyone else catch that?
Hi,
Nice idea. For the present economy this is very nice and good chance to help our know person.
Good! Think every week different. Don't give only the money all the time. [I think]
All the best!
Regards,
Kala Prem.
Howard, we already love you, but tonight's FEEL GOOD FRIDAY" with Marcy coming to tears giving that senior citizen the money with you - well it made my day! To see that senior citizen get that $1000 and the unbelievable look and feeling she was having is how we all should be treating each other in these tough times. If we all did a good deed on FEEL GOOD FRIDAY- imagine what a better place the planet would be for all of us. In tough times this is the kind of action we all should be doing, we don't have to give money, good deeds can cost nothing but a little bit of our time to go out of our way for each other.
Howard, you and WPIX are the BEST!!!
Howard,
You yet again amazed me with your kindness and eagerness to please people. Where did you get you heart from?
May God bless you. I hope that I find you on a good Friday so that I can give the money to a much needed charity. My number is 718-487-3536

I saw the segment last night and it was amazing. I even came to tears when I saw how happy the older woman was and she couldnt stop praising God. God bless you all, and Marcy for actually picking her and give her the money. I hope you guys keep doing "Feel Good Friday" because a $1000.00 maybe lose change for someone but to another it can really make a difference. God is good!

instead of giving money away why you use it to help keep some of your own people in their jobs---you talk about the bad economy---but you don't tell how you are adding to it by elimating jobs--worry about your own people first--
