Ideal International Shipping Far From Ideal
A Brooklyn woman thought she'd save a couple of bucks by using a local shipping company. What she thought looked like an "ideal" bargain, ended up to be far from it.
Marsha Lewis told us that Ideal International Shipping is operated by a husband and wife team. The husband does the transaction and the wife comes to the house and picks up the package.
For the holidays, Marsha was shipping toys to her native country of Trinidad. The package was supposed arrive within 4-5 business days and when it didn't, she called them. They gave her excuse after excuse and refused to give her a tracking number.
Ideal International Shipping claimed they were using UPS as their carrier but when Marsha called UPS, no record of the shipment or company was ever found.
As it turns out, Marsha's package never made it to its destination. She went on to tell us that she knows of others that have had the same thing happen to them.
The Better Business Bureau of New York is aware of Ideal International Shipping and informed us that it has an unsatisfactory rating with them.
In the meantime, when choosing a reputable shipping company, the BBB suggests these tips.
* Check to see it the company has a license. You can check with the Federal Maritime Commission, the Air Transport Association (IATA), and the US Department of Transportation.
* Shop around and get estimates. Get EVERYTHING in writing so you can evaluate which company fits your needs and budget. Especially, their insurance policy and any other fees.
* Always get a tracking number upfront.
* Make an itemized list of goods with a dollar value for each (a copy for the company and a copy for your records)

Ideal shipping has been helping out the west indian community for 8 years. Marsha Lewis has been using this company for 5 years and she knows because she was dating the owner of the company so before people pass judgement on this company remember this comapany has been helping out trinidadian people for the last 8 years. From a good customer who has been using this company for 6 years. Marsha needs to get a green card before she makes problems for her self.
I have been using this company for 2 years and had no problems. Everyone knows that if you ship packages in December, they will not make it in time for Christmas. That women needs to get a life. I shipped a package on the 10th of December and got it on the 29th
I contacted this company back in November who assure me that my delivery for Trinidad was sound and will be on time for a Wedding back in December 20th, along with Christmas gifts for my neices, nephews and others.
To make a long story short I realize the contact # for the receiver was incorrect and the next day and I call the company to have them correct the telephone # and to give me the airbill #, I leave a message and this company as of this day never deliver or return my items.
My items in the box which I mail was $1200.00 dollars plus $220.00 to mail.
It is very sad to know I even try to tracking GA and the info given is all incorret.
I also mailed with this company 3 times and never had any problem. I know they are several more others so please come forward let get these bastards. One of the pick up driver phone # who is attached to this scheme is 347 289-1567 and trying to keep clear now.

I used this company several times before and my package was packup on the 12/9/08 and was to deliver no later than 12/17/08 as of this day never reach my home. I travel to my home in trinidad, return and still never see or hear of them. It's a dam shame to see this con husband & wife on the loose.
This has nothing to do with who Marsha Lewis was or is datingit is a fact that the some of the people involved is scam artise and i personaly know that when mark started this he used to use a man named bernam not sure of the spelling.
who was his friend and he burned him and there is a lot of people out there looking for him.
so because he stiff other people to make things better for your package does not make it a good company and why is he changing the company name so often and not returning people calls.
but all good things do come to an end i would hate to see a good person sit in jail. but someone will run into him and make a change.

It is unfortunate that Mariah Lowe has to bring up Marsha's personal life into this circumstance. It goes to show how illiterate some people could be. Yes probably IDEAL started off as a good company, but now it they are just "THEIVES". My mother and I lost our monies also.
From goods costing well over $1000 to paying $500 to ship the 3 packages , to our family in Trinidad waiting for their goods for Christmas, to my sister in Trinidad going to DHL in Trinidad to figure out when the package will arrive when the arrival day came and gone, to the DHL representative telling her that the they no longer do business with IDEAL because they are being invested in the USA, to us calling their contact number here realizing the answering service is no longer accepting messages, to finally getting a "no longer in service" message, to finally realizing that these people just ripped us off, 3 packages that was picked up on 12/08/08 and supposed to be delivered on 12/15/08 that "never arrived." Keep in mind they told Marsha they are affilicated with UPS and told us it is DHL was the contact company. So obviously these people have something to hide, constantly changing the Company's name.
Come on Mariah, it sounds like your grudge is with Marsha, when all of us are innocent victims of a few people who see an easy way out of this recession, to make sure their bills are paid, and their needs are meet.
Yes we all know it is a recession, but GOD don't like ugly, and the participants of IDEAL SHIPPING will eventually get what's coming to them.

We were ripped off by Ideal shipping and will not give up until they are in jail.People have to work to hard and these thieves must not get away.

Please note my sister was getting marry in Trinidad past December, which is a big day for the bride and the groom plus family. I shipped some of the items along with my daughter dress, shoes and by thing ahead of time to be disapointed by these ninja (THEIVES) and get no answer. I have now place this in the hands of the police which is now working undercover.
Also I will like them to know just remember what happen to the person who stole Sugar Aloe jewels last year in trinidad, well this will the same approched I will be taking therefore don't come crying when all goes bad. So I suggest U come clean and at least and return people packages and work out so kind of deal to repay the money if you don't have at a later date.

I don’t think hunting season is the best way to go. you may get yourself in deep trouble. What I believe is we all come together at a ground point to exchange what steps to take.

What beats me is how he has not been arrested as yet for his dirty deeds. he is a cold blooded, bold faced thief.

He moved from that address. The police was their yesterday. The police is aware of the situation. He is back in New York City. The police has spoken to him and he is going to be delt with.

i send a package with ideal shipping rigth before christmas for my kids... the vaule is over $2,500 us dollars. i am still crying over this... because i work so hard to get this money, and the bad thing about this is that i have no proof about the real vaule because the company "Lisa the person who pick up the package" told me to put a lesser vaule because it would make it easer for my kids to take it out...today i send a complain to the attorney general office...when their reply they say they can't do anything because i don't have the address. that how i saw this site when i was trying to obtain their number...please help me ...

The company ideal shipping is a very big company. The people you think own the company that's the wrong people. If you go to the internet and type ideal shipping you will get all the information you need. The peoples names are not the ones you have. I found out true my lawyers and the New York City Police Department.
