Bring your Daughter to work Day @ the NY POST !
How would one describe my father?
A character, the mayor, hysterical, funny, a comedian, a moron(well that's what mom would say) Dad is definitely one of a kind! He definitely is unique and has earned a few nicknames. Kids have called him The Hairy Man, his co-workers call him Chief Broken-back and I like to call him SPEEDO MAN! Yep! That's what dad wears in the summer time. We have flown over his house in Air-11 and have watched him cannonball into the pool. He made sure to even flex for us. Hes favorite nickname is Celebrity Dad. He loves when I put him on tv (yes , I put up plenty of pictures of him in his speedos ) and even enjoys when Linda Church banters about him. He is also known as my PR guy He at least thinks so. This man calls me at least 5 times every morning to tell me what Im wearing looks good, or dost and f I should change my hair or jewelry I must say he is very observant of our whole crew and all of our guests. Believe it or not I take my Dads advice@ (I never thought I would say that but he is a viewer. And really is unbiased. There have been days he has said to me I look like crap! or that interview wasn't good, etc..so he is one smart cookie and definitely knows his stuff.
What's cool is that we are in the same business. Yep! Media :) My whole family actually. How cool is this,..there are not too many people who can say I worked in techs same building in NYC as my grandfather, father and uncles...I can! PIX is in the former Daily News building on 42nd streetand well the Nicolini family roots trace back to the El Diario , Daily News and NYpost..so its in my blood! When I walk into work every morning at 3:45 am I always think Wow , my grandpa and Dad used to walk through these same (heavy) doors! Its a little bit of a legacy and I am proud to be a Nicolini!
So at 11pm I decided to visit the NY Post in the Bronx and to help my Daddy load his truck I of course did a lot of socializing with his friends, bosses and fellow routemen! I dont recall the last time I was out until 2;30am! Thats wakeup time usually! LOL

Hey Jill. Sorry to go off topic, but I have something I want to ask you.
My mother works at Winthrop Wuniversity Hospital in the nursing department. She was taking care of your grandfather a few weeks ago, and in the midst of conversation with him and one of your cousins, my mother mentions that I'm trying to break into the television industry. They both mentioned that I should try to reach out to you.
So that's where my question lies. Do you have any tips on how to get started in the television industry. Although my eventual goal is to be one of the people in front of the camera, I wouldn't mind starting out behind the scenes and learning everything I can. If there's any insight you can pass along to me let me know.
You can e-mail me at creid7@gmail.com if you want to start up a conversation.
Thanks again!
Jill Nicolini- Hi Craig how are you? What a small world. thank your mom for helping my grandpa! So tell me about you are you in school? How old are you? I always say doing internships really helps! It's alll about networking! Fill me in on yourcareer or school and any experience you have! Thanks and best of luck!
When I heard there was a topless picture of Nicolini on this blog, I couldn't wait to see it. They didn't tell me it was your Dad! (Although I must admit he's in great shape)!
Jill Nicolini- hahahahaha
I'm sure DAD enjoyed the day with you. He looks like a man who is very dedicated to both family and work, a trait not found to often these days. and i'm sure he's very proud of you. Keep being "JUST JILL" and the feelings he has for you will only grow.
Jill Nicolini- Mark do you knwo my dad? Just spoke with him he thinks your a driver at the Post are you?
Jill, I'm sure your Dad enjoyed the time spent with you at work.I had a friend who used to load the trucks for the TIMES, it's no easy job, but i'm sure you made the task alot more fun for him and his back thanks you very much.
Jill Nicolini- Hi Mark how are you? Thanks for reading thsi and yes he has a bad back as you know! How are you? Yes we sure did have a good time as you'll see from the pictures :)
couple summers I was a doorman during the overnight shift. It was so boring that the only thing I had to look forward to was the various newspaper guys who came at bout 5 each morning! One building was at least 50% homosexual (I got storied 4 u). That building was on 5th avenue and about 10th street. Janine Garafolo lived there and the other was in the upper east side. Maybe I met ur father back then..probably would've remembered himm
No, Jill I do not know your DAD. I never worked at the POST, however I was a paperboy back in the 60's. I don't think there are any of us left anymore. Your Dad is thinking of someone else, however I would like to meet him and talk about life and raising daughters, I have a daughter close to your age, she's 28 now.I just think your dad and I would have alot in common as we are around the same age(I'm 54) and we were most likely raised with the same family VALUES. Treasure Him and always remember He loves you more than you'll ever know, He had a part in who you are today.
JILL NICOLINI - I certainly will always treasure him!! I appreciate my Dad every day helping make me who I am, and I love him very much :)
