Sing, Sing, Sing

twenties1.jpg

I am feeling inspired by 1920's fashion. Maybe it's because I have a feather sticking out of my hair, but I just spent the last hour trying to figure out the band that performs a song I like. Turns out it is called "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Benny Goodman. Nonetheless, if you want to get your 20's on...here are my PIX!

Drinks...
Shhh...Please Don't Tell...If you are as cool as I hope you are, you already know where I am going with this! PDT is probably my favorite speakeasy bar right now...The drinks are super tasty and made by a mixologist who takes drinks as serious as I do. Plus, there is something about going through a hot dog shop to get to a "secret" bar that gets me all excited!

Who Is Femi And Why Does She Have A Fashion Blog?

In 1913, people weren't designing clothes for women's comfort, and they especially weren't designing women's clothes to look like men's. But she did - not because she was trendy or fashionable, but because she had her own personal style.

I think sometimes people get stylish, fashionable and trendy confused. I'm not going to explain the difference, because quite frankly, I don't want to. But I suspect the people who get them confused won't like my blog. And I'm OK with that.

Warm Weather Means Spring Fashion!

Spring is my favorite time of year. For people with curly hair (like me), it's the only time when their hair actually remains straight after they flat iron it. Plus, it's not beach weather just yet, but the sunshine is a reminder to start going to the gym so that you look somewhat decent on the beach. And, most importantly, it's warm enough to start wearing all the spring fashions that have been in stores since February... In my case, peep-toe boots!

Here are some of the latest styles I am eying at the moment. And don't worry about affordability, I've included some less expensive options.

Don't eat ramen noodles for these pants...
