Sing, Sing, Sing

twenties1.jpg

I am feeling inspired by 1920's fashion. Maybe it's because I have a feather sticking out of my hair, but I just spent the last hour trying to figure out the band that performs a song I like. Turns out it is called "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Benny Goodman. Nonetheless, if you want to get your 20's on...here are my PIX!

Drinks...
Shhh...Please Don't Tell...If you are as cool as I hope you are, you already know where I am going with this! PDT is probably my favorite speakeasy bar right now...The drinks are super tasty and made by a mixologist who takes drinks as serious as I do. Plus, there is something about going through a hot dog shop to get to a "secret" bar that gets me all excited!

Headgear....
Forever 21 isn't just for tweens. Check out their accessories section for great 20's inspired gear. This headband is a personal fave...In fact, it's what I wore to brunch today. It makes you want to "Take the A Train."

Music...
Pull out your iPhone and download some swing. From Benny Goodman to the Andrew Sisters. What more can I say.

Dance...
Even if you have two left feet, Dance Manhattan will make sure you are doing the Charleston in no time flat!

Clothes...
And my favorite part...The clothes! You can get a 20's inspired flapper dress from everywhere. But one of my favorites are unique-vintage.com. This store prides itself with great vintage fashion, everything from the roaring 20's to 60's mod.
