Warm Weather Means Spring Fashion!

Spring is my favorite time of year. For people with curly hair (like me), it's the only time when their hair actually remains straight after they flat iron it. Plus, it's not beach weather just yet, but the sunshine is a reminder to start going to the gym so that you look somewhat decent on the beach. And, most importantly, it's warm enough to start wearing all the spring fashions that have been in stores since February... In my case, peep-toe boots!

Here are some of the latest styles I am eying at the moment. And don't worry about affordability, I've included some less expensive options.

Don't eat ramen noodles for these pants...

Finding The Perfect Polish To Flatter Your Skin Tone

polish%20try%201.jpg

I had the sudden urge to change my nail polish yesterday. I was wearing OPI's Pompeii Purple, which looks great on my skin, but I wanted something different. I went to Ricky's (AKA beauty supply Heaven) and bought Essie's Tart Deco. Not a color I normally wear, but it was on sale and it looked fun.

I put the polish on but removed it less than five minutes later! The orange looked awful on my brown skin so I am now polish-less. To ensure my polish drama never happens again, I hooked up with Np2 nail polish to get some tips on choosing the perfect color to compliment every skin tone.

Fair Skin Tones

Try a red like Np2's Electric Charge or a bright pink like Np2's Positive Integer. These colors look very chic and elegant on fair skin.

Who Is Femi And Why Does She Have A Fashion Blog?

β€œIn order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” Coco Chanel

When Coco Chanel started designing clothes, people thought she was crazy. Not just because she went from hat designer to clothing designer, but because she made menswear inspired women's clothing. In 1913, people weren't designing clothes for women's comfort, and they especially weren't designing women's clothes to look like men's. But she did - not because she was trendy or fashionable, but because she had her own personal style.

I think sometimes people get stylish, fashionable and trendy confused. I'm not going to explain the difference, because quite frankly, I don't want to. But I suspect the people who get them confused won't like my blog. And I'm OK with that.
