CW Couples Are Getting Together & Breaking Up!

One Gossip Girl coupling is not long for this world, while one on The Vampire Diaries is about to take shape. Don't read any further if you don't want to know the who, the what and the when!

Gossip Girl insiders reveal that "Chair" (that's Chuck & Blair for you newbies) will break up later this season after Chuck does "something horrible" and "everyone's going to hate him for it," according to E!'s Kristin Dos Santos. Whatever scandalous deed the Basshole gets himself into will also involve Uncle Jack Bass (Dexter's Desmond Harrington) who is returning to the show this Spring. Look for the seeds of harmony interruptus to be planted in April.

Meanwhile, over in Mystic Falls, The Vampire Diaries' Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be hooking up with Kelly Donovan, Matt's trashy mother. According to executive producer Kevin Williamson, Kelly (played by The O.C.'s Melinda Clarke, who joins the show in late March) has roots in the community and has a history tied to both Sheriff Forbes and Elena's mother. "The three of them were really tight friends back in the day. Sheriff and Kelly, in particular, have ongoing issues to deal with,” according to Williamson.
